BOARD OF EDUCATION POLICIES

The Plymouth-Canton Community School District's Board of Education policies are established to provide clear guidelines and standards for the operation of the school district. These policies cover a wide range of topics, including student conduct, staff responsibilities, curriculum requirements, and community relations. They are designed to ensure a safe, supportive, and effective educational environment for all students and staff. The policies are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect changes in laws, educational best practices, and the needs of the school community. Compliance with these policies is mandatory for all members of the school district, ensuring consistency and fairness across all schools within the district.

P-CCS Dynamic Plan

The P-CCS Dynamic Plan 2021-27 is intentional work that P-CCS has collaboratively engaged in to provide the roadmap to best serve all students and staff in both the near- and long-term future. The construction of the plan involved a diverse group of stakeholders, including the Board of Education, district and building leadership, educators, support staff, community partners, families, and students. The process included stakeholder feedback groups, Board of Education workshops, and several meetings of the Dynamic Plan Steering Committee in order to examine data, engage in rich discussion, and strategically set goals -- all of which serves as a strong foundation for this Dynamic Plan.

The plan looks to capture the desire of our school community to invest in innovative educational programming that will attract students and families to P-CCS. The strategic goals and objectives embedded within the plan are designed to support any unfinished learning that may have occurred as a result of the pandemic, but more importantly to lead our students to accelerate their academic, social, and emotional growth in order to thrive in this new educational world and beyond.

The achievement of the goals in this Dynamic Plan will lead to the continued pursuit of P-CCS being the premier school district that our students and community expect and deserve with all that is on the horizon in the world of education. We firmly believe if we consistently increase student engagement and empower student voice and choice in learning, then our students will develop into capable and involved citizens, and through this Dynamic Plan we will work passionately every day to ensure that student achievement remains high for all students at P-CCS.

We are grateful for the continued involvement and dedication from our school community. Thank you for your continued support of Plymouth-Canton Community Schools, where all students LEARN, PREPARE, and THRIVE!

- Dr. Monica L. Merritt, P-CCS Superintendent of Schools
