General Information

Office Hours 

8:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday. 

The office will be open virtually for select hours over the summer.   If you cannot find the information you need for the start of the school year on this page, please email the secretary at Julie.Forsey@pccsk12.com or call the school office at (734) 397-6330 and leave a voice message. 

Elementary School Bell Times

  • Full Day of School:  8:55 a.m. to 4:01 p.m. 
  • Half Day of School: 8:55 a.m. to 12:10 p.m.
  • Students can begin arriving on the school premises at 8:40 a.m.

Student Registration

Student registration is a 2-step process.  Step 1 is an online enrollment application.  Step 2 is a telephone appointment to finalize the enrollment.  Please visit the P-CCS K-12 Enrollment page for more info.

Important Information

***Save the Date - Kindergarten and Young 5's Orientation***

We are planning an in-person Kindergarten and Young 5’s orientation for the 2024-2025 school year on May 14th, 2024 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.  Parents and children are welcome.

If you miss the orientation and would like to be emailed a copy of the presentation, then please email the building secretary at Julie.Forsey@pccsk12.com to request a copy.

Open House

***Updated 6-3-24*** Our 2024-2025 School Year open house will be on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 @5:30-7:00 p.m.

Picture Day

***Updated 9-3-24*** Picture day is Tuesday, September 17th, 2024.  Retake day is Tuesday, October 29th, 2024.  Order forms will be sent home with your student as well as linked here when they become available.  Orders can be placed online at mylifetouch.com using code EVT4M827F

Before and After School Care

Before and after school care for Field Elementary will be provided by Champions for the 2024-2025 school year.  This program is located inside of our school.  Please visit our extended day website for more info.

Class List Posting

***Updated 8-22-24*** You will be able to view your child's classroom teacher for this coming school year in your MiStar Parent Connection after 4pm on Monday August 26th.  If you are having trouble accessing your account, please send an email to parentconnection@pccsk12.com describing your issue and they will assist you.  Due to a recent review of FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) we will no longer be able to post class rosters on the front doors. 

First Day of School

***Updated 8-7-24*** The first day of school is Tuesday, September 3rd and will be a half day for all Y5/K - 5 students.  Additionally, September 4th and 5th will be a half day for all Y5 and K students only.  Half day dismissal is at 12:10pm.

Dress Code

We do not require uniforms at Field Elementary.  Please refer to the Student Handbook linked under the Student Handbook section for specific dress codes.

Bus Information

If eligible for bussing transportation, then you must elect that option in MiStar Parent Portal in order for your student to be scheduled on a bus route.  Please read the 2024-2025 Summer Communicator for important information regarding bus transportation.

Important Nutrition Update

Food shortage and supply chain are nationwide issues, and our district may also experience unavailable items or last-minute replacements.  Menus are subject to change, but we will do our best to notify you if there are any changes.  Menus on MenuLogic may not reflect these changes.  If you have a concern please contact the Field Cafeteria Manager at 734-582-6937 to verify the menu of the day.

Birthday Policy

As a means of preserving instructional time and maintaining a safe environment for all students, birthdays will not be celebrated with food treats in Plymouth-Canton Community Schools. It is difficult to monitor food items coming from homes and maintain health and safety standards. Classroom teachers have created non-food related procedures if you wish to recognize your child's birthday at school.  We ask that in lieu of individual treats/bags for students-- parents who choose to celebrate the birthday at school donate a book, puzzle, pencils, board game, new markers, etc. for the entire classroom. 

Medication Policy

Medication for students who require medication during the school day should be arranged prior to the start of the school year. The P-CCS medication policy and forms are available HERE.  (Important: Medication forms must be dated 7-1-24 or later to be considered valid for the 24-25 school year.)  After you have read this information in its entirety, please contact the school office to make the necessary arrangements to drop off medications.
