2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR SCHOOL HOURS 

  • Students can start arriving at 8:40
  • 8:55 AM -- Doors Open (STUDENTS ARE MARKED TARDY AFTER 8:55 am)
  • 4:01 PM Dismissal
  • 12:10 PM: Half-Day Dismissal

All students are to arrive for morning classes between 8:50 AM - 8:55 AM. The limited number of entrances for the school mean that each class will have a designated place to line up each morning before school.  This is indicated by their class number painted on the blacktop or sidewalk near the door they are to enter in the morning.

To report an absence over the phone:

  • Please call (734) 394-5400
  • Press “2” to report a student being late or absent
  • (PLEASE NOTE THE ATTENDANCE LINE IS AVAILABLE 24/7)  Please state your name, your student's first and last name, PLEASE SPELL the student's last name, state who your student's teacher is, and it is important that you leave a reason for absence.

To report an absence over MiStar:

***Note*** Parents/legal guardians MUST report all absences directly to the office through the absence line or the MiStar Parent Portal, even if an email or message has also been sent to the classroom teacher. It is not the student's teacher's duty to inform the office staff of a student's absence and the reason.

Extended Vacation Absence

The purpose of this form is to serve as acknowledgement of the student's absence from school due to a family vacation/holiday plans.  Parents/guardians must notify the school at least five (5) business days before the absence about the intended vacation and length of absence.

EXTENDED VACATION/ABSENCE FORM
