Welcome to Middle School with P-CCS!
Our mission is to nurture the academic and social-emotional growth of every student. With five dedicated middle schools, we aim to meet the complex needs of our adolescent learners.
Academics are at the core of our program. All courses are meticulously aligned with the appropriate Michigan Academic Standards. We offer accelerated math programming and provide opportunities for students to earn high school credit in math and world languages. Additionally, each middle school provides additional student supports, including reading support, math support, and our Skills for Success course, which focuses on academic and social-emotional self-regulation.
Every middle school features a dedicated STEM Lab, equipped with cutting-edge technology. These labs provide students with hands-on experience, from computer-aided design to 3-D printing and CNC milling machines. Each school also offers a comprehensive elective program, including visual art, life management, health, physical education, and project-based learning. Students even have the option of participating in orchestra at Plymouth-Canton Educational Park before the start of the middle school day.
We encourage students to personalize their 6th-8th grade experience by joining extracurricular activities. Students at all of our middle schools have access to a wide range of activities, including National Junior Honor Society, Science Olympiad, Robotics, WEB Mentoring, Student-Run Credit Union, and Yearbook/School publication and media. Our leadership organizations coordinate various service projects, such as The Crossover Charity Athletic Event, Red Cross Blood Drives, and food collections for Gleaners Food Bank.
Athletics play a significant role in our middle school experience, with around 40% of students participating in at least one sport every year. We offer six distinct middle school seasons, ensuring students have the opportunity to participate in multiple sports throughout the year. Our athletic offerings include boys’ and girls’ cross-country, swimming, track & field, basketball, girls’ volleyball, and wrestling, with each season offering at least one no-cut sport.
