Media Center / Reporting Chromebook Issues

The Library is before and after school, as well as during lunch recess with a pass. Lunch passes may be check out in the library before the end of homeroom daily.
21st Century information skills and National Technology Standards are coordinated and scheduled with classroom teachers and taught as an integrated part of the classroom curriculum.
Library Procedures
Circulation
- Students may check out up to three books at a time for three weeks their Student ID.
- Books may be renewed for an additional three weeks as long as there is not a wait list for a book.
- There are no late fines, however, if a book is damaged for lost the student will be responsible for the cost of its replacement.
- Lunch passes may be checked out before school and during homeroom. Lunch passes are limited and not available every day. Students should check for availability. There is a $1.00 fine for a lost pass.
Library Computers
- Library computers are available for students to use to print materials/homework for school during open hours. They must have a pass from their teachers during school hours.
- Printing is limited to schoolwork and only available in black and white.
Chromebook Information
Consequences for a lost Chromebook
Student Chromebooks will be retained by the Media Center until consequences have been met.
- First & second offenses: Student will complete a Lost Chromebook Reflection, have it signed by a parent/guardian, and return it the following school day. When the student turns in the reflection, Student Chromebook will be returned to them.
- Third offense: Student must serve a detention and a parent must come in to the school to pick up the device.
- Repeat offenses: Student will be referred to the Assistant Principal.
Reporting Chromebook Issues
If your Chromebook is not working properly or is broken (for example, has a cracked screen, broken corner, is missing a key or other issues), please take it to the Technology Paraprofessional in the library as soon as the damage or problem is noticed.
