Dance Chaperones Needed
Chaperones are needed for Dance and Activity Nights. Please email Mrs. Hine, our Student Council Coordinator, if you are interested in helping out at any of the dance/activity nights. Her email address is corrie.hine@pccsk12.com. Drop Off and Pick Up Guidelines
The file below contains additional information about the best procedures for dropping off and picking up students in the north parking area.
The front drop off loop (Ann Arbor Trail side of building) is the only area designed for the drop off and pick up of students by private vehicles. No drop off or pick up by private vehicles is allowed on the south side of the building {bus Loop} for safety reasons.
The system of drop off works most efficiently if drivers pull ahead as far as they can in the loop before dropping off their child along the curb. There is a natural tendency to drop off by the flag pole [close to the entrance]; this however limits the area along the curb for cars to drop off. This can cause the cars to back up out towards Ann Arbor Trail and actually increase the time required to drop off students and the congestion in the lot. Please remember to pull as far forward toward the drop off sign before letting students out on the right side of the car only. Students can enter the building via the main entrance to the building and also through the cafeteria entrance.
Please do not turn left when leaving the lot after drop off or pickup, as this considerably slows the flow of traffic. You can turn right and immediately turn left through the Bird School loop along the Ann Arbor Trail fence, allowing you to travel west on Ann Arbor Trail without backing up traffic in the school drop off area.
At dismissal time it is recommended that parents utilize the entire curb area for waiting to pick up their child. We encourage people to pull forward to fill the spaces that open up as parents pull away after picking up their child. Please do not wait in one spot leaving spaces along the curb in front of you.
Thanking you in advance for your assistance with this matter.

Thank you to everyone who participates in these programs.Tardy Policy
Student success is one of our top priorities. A timely arrival to class can only make a student more successful as they move toward high school and beyond. Tardiness detracts from the general classroom atmosphere and creates a disruption or distraction for others. The tardy policy is as follows:
- Phone call by the teacher after 3 tardies.
- Parent letter from the Assistant Principal on or after the forth tardy.
- A one-hour before school detention will be given for each tardy thereafter.
Volunteers
Volunteers are always welcomed at West activities. The district requires that a form be filled out. Please visit the Chaperone & Volunteer Background (ICHAT) Request page for more information.
