The Plymouth-Canton Community Schools’ nursing staff is fortunate to have partnered with the University of Michigan's School of Nursing to implement the Lunch & Learn Program; a series of 15-20 minute interactive, educational sessions pertinent to the mental health and wellness of our 6-8 grade students. Middle school students will be able to sign up for a session on Emotional Regulation beginning in November, which will take place during lunch.

Our goal is to empower and educate students with the tools they need to be successful. This initiative aligns with the P-CCS nurse mission to “be proactive in issues that affect the health of children and to promote optimal learning in the educational setting.” We are confident that through the Lunch & Learn Program we will accomplish these goals and provide students with the resources to be their healthiest selves.

Sessions will be provided during identified times on Fridays November 3rd, 10th, and the 17th. The University of Michigan Nursing students will present in teams across our middle schools.

We encourage students to sign up and learn more about managing their emotions and actions in a healthy way.  Sign-up will take place at the student’s middle school.
